Alain graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor degree in Architecture in 1994 and a Master of Science in Historic Preservation in 1998.

He became a licensed Architect in Oregon in 2008. Since then he has also added licenses in the State of Washington and Colorado.

Over the years by working on different project types, Alain has developed a set of tools that allow him to participate positively in all aspects of building design and construction.

Alain has a deep-rooted belief that a careful and measured use of energy and materials can make a difficult project a successful reality, proving beneficial to the owners and improving the community at large.

Native to southern France his upbringing amidst vestiges of the antique world has instilled in him a passion for creation and preservation of the built environment, as well as an appreciation and desire to preserve the natural environment.

Working in local architectural firms, Alain extended his academic training by practicing on industrial, commercial and institutional projects as well as in the field of multi family low income housing.

Alain established Composite Architecture, LLC in 2008.
